The atmosphere promises to be fun and engaging with well-known entertainers like Snotkop, Gerhard Steyn, Lianie May, Amor, Franja du Plessis and many more headlining proceedings. More fun can be had with events like the golf day, road running race, road-and-mountainbike races where the Comrades athlete, Nick Bester will also be participating. With more than 150 stalls available, there will be more than enough to keep the more than 15 000 visitors busy. In the past the show has attracted over 35 000 people, but had to be cancelled last year due to the devastating drought which affected the area.
Various breeds of cattle and sheep will be on show as well as the always exciting sheep-sheering contest. Other exciting demos to look out for include poultry, goats, greyhounds, agri-stalls, military exhibition and a farmer patents competition.
The ladies have also been catered for with an exciting Ladies Program and the little ones can also look forward to loads of fun with Tjiff and Tjaff, “boeresport”, “bulletjierugby” , soccer and kiddies-netball. But wait, there’s more, which includes a sokkiejol, air show, parachuting , tractor demos, strongman show, Harley Davidson riders and many, many more.
Ticket prices vary from only R30 to R40 for day entry, to R60 to R80 for night entry. A full-day ticket ranges from between R90 and R120 with package deals also available.
