How to ensure your equipment survives this winter with Ferdie Pieterse




 

  1. Fill up your fuel tank after each shift. This is to ensure that your fuel doesn’t get contaminated by water condensation because the engine will be damaged. 
  2. Use the appropriate fuel conditioners to improve the quality of fuel.
  3. Protect your cooling system with the recommended anti-freeze products, this lowers the chance of the liquid being frozen. 
  4. Always keep your batteries warm and fully charged. 
  5. Keep your tires fully inflated. 
  6. Use the correct lubricants according to the OEM specifications.
  7. Ensure that you do visible inspection for leakage and other damage.
  8. Clean undercarriage before storage to prevent corrosion.
